01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a site saves on your device while you visit it. They keep it working, protect it, remember your choices and — in other cases — measure visits or show you advertising.

Alongside cookies there are similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage: on this page we treat them the same way.

The legal framework is Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024, in force since 10 November 2024.

02Your preferences

Here you can switch each category on or off. Changes take effect immediately and apply to this browser and this device. You can come back to this page whenever you like.

We store your choice in a technical cookie called everest_consent, valid for six months: it contains only the categories you accepted and the date on which you did so. After six months we ask you again. If you clear your browser data, the choice is lost and the banner reappears.

03The categories in detail

Necessary

They let the site work and stay protected: session handling, defence against fraudulent requests, storage of pages already generated. They are set by the platform hosting the site. No consent is required for these cookies, because without them the service you asked for cannot be provided — but we are obliged to inform you.

Preferences

They remember the choices made during your visit, such as the language or the fact that you have already seen the opening animation. No tool in this category is currently active.

Statistics

They would tell us, in aggregate form, how many people visit the site and which pages they read. We currently use no statistics tool: neither Google Analytics nor anything equivalent.

Marketing

They would be used to measure advertising campaigns and to show you relevant content on other platforms. We currently use no advertising pixels, remarketing or social buttons that track browsing.

If we activate a tool in any of these categories, it will only run after your consent and this page will be updated.

04Content served by third parties

Some elements of the pages are served by external delivery networks. They do not set cookies on our behalf, but in order to deliver the requested file they receive your IP address and the technical data of the request:

• Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces;
• jsDelivr — the animation and 3D libraries and the map’s geographic data;
• Cloudflare — some animation libraries;
• Wix — the photographs and videos.

05Managing them in your browser

Besides the preferences on this page, you can act directly from your browser: delete cookies already stored, block new ones or be warned each time one is set. The instructions are in the privacy section of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.

Bear in mind that blocking the necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.

You can also use private browsing: cookies set during that session are deleted when you close the window.
